Israel Sokeye

MD

Dr. Sokeye is a board certified psychiatrist who is committed to helping individuals of all ages with mental health problems. He believes strongly in the importance of treating children and adolescents with mental health problems, as this helps improve their chances of living more productive and fulfilling lives as adults.

He co-founded Plymouth Psych Group in 2011 to have an impact in the mental health system of care and excel in providing compassionate care. He completed his medical school at the premier college of medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria and his general adult psychiatry training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York. He went on to specialize in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Minnesota. 

Dr Sokeye has wealth of experience working in a variety of clinical settings, including governmental county clinics, schools clinics, inpatient units, partial hospitalization programs and intensive outpatient programs and outpatient clinic settings. He is an adjunct clinical faculty of psychiatry at the University of Minnesota medical school and involved in research and new program development.

John Nwabugwu

DNP, APRN, CNP, PMHNP-BC

John earned a Bachelor’s degree in nursing with a minor in psychology, from Presentation College, Aberdeen, South Dakota in 2014. He obtained a Psychiatry and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner doctorate degree from The College of Saint Scholastica, Duluth, MN.

John has worked in acute psychiatric and medical psychiatric units, and has treated children, adolescents and adults with various mental health concerns and disorders including depression, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, psychotic disorder, and bipolar disorders.

John is a big proponent of dual therapy with psychotherapy and psychopharmacological interventions. His personal clinical philosophy is “person first”, which is a clinical philosophy that recognizes the person in the patient and seeks to help resolve the patient’s clinical presentations while isolating the person.

Titilope Omisakin "Dr. T"

DNP, CNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Titilope (T) earned his bachelor’s degree from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania in 2018. He completed his doctoral studies in psychiatry and mental health nursing at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

Titilope possesses a wealth of experience spanning the entire lifespan, having worked with clients in adult psychiatry, dual diagnosis, and child and adolescent psychiatry. His expertise covers a range of diagnoses, including Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, OCD, psychotic disorders, and ASD. He adopts a patient-centered approach, aiming to empower clients to lead their best lives by employing a biopsychosocial framework. Titilope firmly believes in the inherent hope within every individual and collaborates closely with his clients to cultivate insight toward achieving their goals.

Outside of his professional life, Titilope enjoys quality time with his family, staying physically active, exploring diverse cuisines, indulging in literature, and actively engaging with his local community.

Joan Gibson

APRN, PMHCNS-BC

Joan Gibson is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with 20+ years of psychiatric experience. She provided outpatient psychiatric care at a hospital based clinic for 19 years. She has experience treating a broad range of psychiatric disorders, including ADHD, Major Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and PTSD. She enjoys listening to her patients, assessing their individual needs and developing comprehensive treatment plans to address their psychiatric needs.

She is well versed on psychiatric medications to treat various psychiatric disorders and continues to seek out education on various pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions to treat mental illness. She enjoys researching and collaborating with other health care providers. The most rewarding part of her job is seeing patients who feel and function better and are able to experience more happiness in their everyday lives.

In her free time Joan enjoys walking, cooking, traveling, family and volunteering within her local community.

Dr Heidi Arnold

MD

Dr. Arnold is a board-certified psychiatrist dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and young adults with mental health challenges. She believes that a thorough understanding of the biological, psychological, and social dimensions of both patients and their families is essential for effective mental healthcare. Dr. Arnold values collaboration with multi-disciplinary treatment teams, seeing it as the most effective approach to delivering comprehensive care.

Dr. Arnold completed her undergraduate studies at Carleton College before earning her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She then pursued her general adult psychiatry training and child & adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Her extensive clinical experience spans various settings, including partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics.

Outside of work, Dr. Arnold enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and engaging in crafting activities.

Amanda Richardson

DNP, PMHNP-BC

Amanda is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She earned her bachelor of science from Winona State University with a dual major in Psychology and Nursing. She spent the next 15 years in a variety of roles in both hospital and private settings, including as an ICU nurse, a cardiac procedural nurse, overseeing a network of group homes for physically and developmentally disabled adults throughout the Twin Cities metro area, and working in a level 6 child and adolescent treatment facility. She then attended Regis College, where she earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

As a nurse practitioner she is passionate about child and adolescent mental health and has specialized in treating patients during those crucial formative years. Her approach to mental health practice is holistic, empowering, and inclusive. She strives to not only treat her patients but also to educate and empower them so they can understand and participate in their own care.

Ana Bartz

Dr. Bartz is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in emotional and behavioral health through a holistic approach. Dr. Bartz enjoys partnering with clients and their families to
educate and treat using the latest evidence-based practices to achieve the best outcomes. Dr. Bartz provides medication management services for children, adolescents and adults at the Plymouth location.

Liz provides medication management services for children, adolescents and adults at the Plymouth location.

In her free time outside of work, Liz enjoys gardening, playing or coaching volleyball and spending time with her family.

Amy Prawalsky

APRN, CPNP-PC, PMHS

Amy is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with certifications in pediatric primary care and pediatric mental health. Amy cares deeply about promoting the emotional, developmental, and behavioral health of patients with developmental delays, genetic differences, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other mental health conditions. Amy provides medication management services for children and adolescents and developmental assessments of young children, including evaluations for autism spectrum disorder. Amy works out of our Plymouth location.  

In her time outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and adventuring outdoors with a coffee in hand.

Ellie Covin

Psy.D., LP

Dr. Covin is the co-founder of PCS and specializes in comprehensive cognitive, neuropsychological, and social-emotional evaluations to address neurobehavioral concerns, including attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), giftedness, learning disabilities, and other emotional and behavioral difficulties.  She also offers consultation services in order to collaborate with schools to help design education plans to meet each child’s individual needs. Dr. Covin sees clients at the Plymouth office.

Katie Reger

Ph.D., LP

Dr. Reger specializes in conducting comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents to better understand brain-behavior relationships. She collaborates with parents/caregivers, schools, and medical providers to inform them about the individual’s strengths, weaknesses, and how his/her cognitive development has been impacted by a specific brain dysfunction. Dr. Reger evaluates specific concerns related to attention, learning, language, memory, social problems, and emotional/behavioral difficulties. Dr. Reger specifically specializes in evaluating children/adolescents with neurological disorders (especially epilepsy, but also spina bifida, hydrocephalus, brain tumor, tuberous sclerosis, and cerebral palsy), neurodevelopmental disorders (including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and learning disorders), traumatic brain injury, prenatal exposure to substances, prematurity, multicultural issues, and transition-related concerns. Dr. Reger provides individualized recommendations for educational intervention and/or psychological treatment to ensure the child/adolescent has appropriate supportive services in place. Dr. Reger sees clients at the Plymouth office.

Marilyn Schiller

Ph.D., LP

Dr. Schiller specializes in the treatment of school-age children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Schiller previously trained and worked at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center, both in New York. Dr. Schiller uses evidence-based treatment, along with counseling psychology for patients to achieve the best quality of life. She works with children experiencing learning challenges, along with those having challenges coping. Her specialty areas are coping with chronic illness and divorce/custody challenges. Dr. Schiller sees clients via telehealth.

Melissa Bollinger-Kinney

MSED, LPCC

Melissa holds a Master’s of Science degree in Education – Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, WI and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, MN. She completed certification in clinical counseling from St. Mary’s University and St. Thomas University. Melissa has been practicing as a therapist for 23 years working mostly with teenagers in group and individual therapy as well as adults, families and couples. Melissa has launched school-linked mental health programs in Columbia Heights and Centennial school districts.

Melissa’s approach encompasses a blend of CBT, DBT, mindfulness and Solution-focused therapy. She tailors her approach to each individual and meets the client where they are at. She has experience working with issues related to depression, self-mutilation, anxiety & panic, self-esteem and identity issues, stress & anger-management, parenting & relationship issues as well as grief and loss. She is also working towards certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Melissa is a board approved clinical supervisor. She provides clinical supervision to individuals working toward licensure and interns completing their clinical practicum and internship.

Melissa believes that the patterns of our mind that keep us trapped in emotional suffering are fundamentally the same patterns of mind that stand between us and the growth towards our potential for a more deeply satisfying way of being. Melissa enjoys scuba diving, snow- boarding, and volleyball. She is currently learning how to kite board.

Alison is a licensed psychologist providing individual and family therapy services to children, teens and adults of all ages. This includes parental support, school and physician care coordination. Alison has extensive experience providing clinical services to children and adults focusing on a variety of issues including ADHD, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, and issues that may arise due to divorce and/or caregiver separations, with parents who are committed to a positive co-parenting experience. Her 22+ years of experience at Washburn Center for Children also included work with children and families experiencing abuse, neglect.

Claire is a licensed independent clinical social worker that provides services to children starting at age 6, adults, and families. She utilizes a strengths-based approach to treatment, implementing cognitive behavioral, narrative, emotion-focused, play therapy, and attachment-based interventions. She believes that fostering a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is essential to the development and growth of clients. Claire’s areas of interest include adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, trauma, grief and loss, family concerns and coparenting. Claire is currently seeing clients via telehealth.

Her internship and early career included working in various levels of care at an outpatient eating disorder center. Brittan’s goal is to provide non-judgemental, compassionate and empathetic care while supporting you on the journey to normalized and healthy eating. She enjoys getting to know clients, while partnering together to target behaviors, learn about your unique needs and achieve goals.
